Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 October 2026

Close to Home helps families keep their recipes — in the words and voices of the people who cook them. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: your recipes are private unless you choose to share them, we don't sell your data, and you can delete everything at any time.

What we collect

We do not use advertising trackers or sell personal data.

How we use it

Services that process data for us

These providers receive only what is needed for their task.

Who can see your recipes

Recipes are private by default. People you invite can see only the recipes and groups you mark as shared, and they cannot change them. You can stop sharing, or remove someone, at any time.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your recipes for as long as you have an account. You can delete a recipe at any time, or delete your whole account from Settings in the app — this permanently removes your vault, recordings, photos and recipes. To ask about your data, email closetohome.feedback@gmail.com.

Children

Close to Home is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will update the date above and let you know in the app.
